In 1990, a few people got together and a few ideas collided, and the
world was changed forever. Or not. The results came to be known as UnderWorld Industries. Later, in 1993, the web presence of UWI -- "The Web's Edge" -- came into existence. The Internet would never be the same. Or not. A historic decision has been made, here in the twilight of the Old Millennium, to retire The Web's Edge to the status of Decommissioned Archive. Most of the classic UWI web services will no longer be active. Those that are still alive and well are shown to the left. |

As for UnderWorld Industries itself, over the years it has become involved
in many projects and mutated beyond our wildest dreams.
In these many forms, UWI is alive and well today. |
