Splinks was named after a song by experimental vocalist Jaap Blonk, because, if you are very patient and still, and hold him gently to your ear, you will hear him producing the same delightful mix of warbles, yips, and grunts. He is a very sweet little monster, but should not be kept in close quarters or closed cabinets; if he feels crowded or threatened by your other knick-knacks, he is likely to spray.




He's one of my favorites.
